The transparent optical fibers in the white fibreglass fabric of LIGHT\TRACE No. 2 subtly emit their light into the room.
The fact that the fine optical fibers are woven into the fabric by hand in two different directions creates an interesting interplay of intersecting lines of light that seem to run all the way around due to the shape of the body.
The inhomogeneity of the light emission creates an almost shimmering effect that changes with every step of the viewer's standpoint. This makes the light object appear very lively.

This is how the jury justifies the German Design Award 2017 Special Mention for LIGHT\TRACE No. 2 because of its exceptional design quality.
And really, the design comes from the inspiration of waves that curl up, powerful and gentle at the same time. With LIGHT\TRACE No. 2, a subtle lighting mood is created, even though the space-consuming light object is an eye-catcher.
In its entirety, it enchants, as it once did in the exhibition in Milan when a little girl began to dance underneath it.
LIGHT\TRACE No. 2 was exhibited in Milan in the design exhibition "Back Ahead - New Austrian Design Perspectives" during the "Salone Internazionale del Mobile" from 12-17.4.2016.
Interior design with LIGHT\ TRACE No. 2
In private rooms, LIGHT\TRACE No. 2 can be used as an indirectly illuminated light object above a dining table or to emphasise individual areas, such as above a sofa group.
Reception areas and lounges in hotels, restaurants or shops can also be designed with this lighting object.
Because this is always done in a subtle way, the view within the overall room is always maintained. Also arranged in groups in different sizes or for rhythmic structuring of the room, interesting installations with a unique atmosphere are created.
